Newly Sentient Being is the upcoming eleventh live album by American experimental rock band Swans, set to be released on October 2, 2026, via Young God Records.[1] It has been labeled as the final record in the "big sound" era of the band, recorded on November 28, 2025, in Berlin during the Birthing tour.[2][1][3] The album contains three entirely new tracks, one from Birthing with compositional revisions, and one from The Beggar. Physical releases of the record will contain a DVD of the performance directed by Marco Porsia and Peter Harton.[4]
