Nicholas Angelo Chickillo (October 17, 1930 – February 5, 2000) was an American professional football player who played one season with the Chicago Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Cardinals in the fifteenth round of the 1953 NFL draft after playing college football at the University of Miami.
Nicholas Angelo Chickillo was born on October 17, 1930, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.[1] He attended West Scranton High School in Scranton.[1]
Chickillo was a member of the Miami Hurricanes from 1949 to 1952 and a three-year starter from 1950 to 1952.[1][2] He was inducted into the school's athletics hall of fame in 1987.[2] His hall of fame bio notes that "Chickillo was one of the truly great 60-minute men in Hurricane football history. Chickillo was a stand-out player on both the offensive and defensive line while playing in the glory days of the early 1950's."[2]
