Born in Germany, Banecki is of Cameroonian descent.[2] She made her debut in the German national team on 7 March 2008 against Finland.[3]

Banecki played for Germany at the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup finals in Chile.[4]

Personal life

Banecki was born in Germany to a German father and Cameroonian mother. Her brother Francis and twin sister Sylvie are professional footballers in Germany. Her uncle Marcel Mahouvé was a Cameroonian footballer.[5]
