Nizhneilimsky District (Russian: Нижнеили́мский райо́н) is an administrative district, one of the thirty-three in Irkutsk Oblast, Russia.^[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Nizhneilimsky Municipal District.^[7] The area of the district is 36,823 square kilometers (14,217 sq mi).^[3] Its administrative center is the town of Zheleznogorsk-Ilimsky.^[2] Population: 55,096 (2010 census);^[4] 63,727 (2002 Census);^[9] 77,291 (1989 Soviet census).^[10]
