Novoburassky District

District in Saratov Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Novoburassky District (Russian: Новобурасский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[6] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,700 square kilometers (660 sq mi).^[3] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Novye Burasy.^[2] Population: 16,359 (2010 Census);^[4] 18,188 (2002 census);^[9] 16,703 (1989 Soviet census).^[10] The population of Novye Burasy accounts for 35.9% of the district's total population.^[4]
