Function
This gene encodes a member of the oxysterol-binding protein (OSBP) family, a group of intracellular lipid transfer proteins.[6] The protein product of the gene, ORP11, contains an N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain and a highly conserved C-terminal OSBP-like sterol-binding domain.[5] It forms homo-dimers with the ORP9, the product of the OSBPL9 gene.[7]
