Oregon State Beavers softball

The Oregon State Beavers softball team represents Oregon State University in NCAA Division I college softball. The team participates in the Pac-12 Conference. The Beavers are currently led by head coach Laura Berg. The team plays their home games at Kelly Field, formerly known as Oregon State Softball Complex, located on the university's campus.[2]

Kirk Walker came out as gay to the Oregon State Beavers softball team while he was their coach in 2005, and while still the coach of that team, came out to the website Outsports in 2007;[4][5] he was the first openly gay male coach in NCAA Division I history.[6][7]
