Ostoja Mijailović (Čačak, May 25, 1979) is a Serbian entrepreneur and sports official. He is the founder and president of the business system OMR Group and the president of the KK Partizan.[1][2][3][4]

He was born on May 25, 1979, in Čačak. He began his professional career early, after opening a small auto repair shop in Čačak in 2002. In 2003, he continued his professional career in Italy, and upon returning to Serbia, he started a business by founding British Motors. He earned the academic title of graduate manager (Bachelor of Business Management).

Business career

Mijailović is the founder and president of OMR Group, a business system that has existed for over 20 years and currently employs over 1,200 workers. The group operates in the sectors of the automotive industry, insurance, finance and leasing, nautical, and real estate, and its core values are based on stability and trust.[5][6]

Automotive Industry

The development of business in this sector progressed gradually. Mijailović founded the company Bavaria Motorrad for vehicle sales, and then in 2016, he founded British Motors,[7] which became the exclusive importer and distributor for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for Serbia and Montenegro, thereby strengthening his position in the auto industry. The business was further expanded through a partnership with the company Stellantis, via the firm Crossroad Adria.[8] Today, OMR Group represents the brands Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Changan, Land Rover, Hyundai, Isuzu, Subaru, and Kawasaki.[9]

The strategic goal of building a system that services all the needs of modern mobility was achieved through acquisitions of companies for fleet management and leasing—AKS Fleet Solution (2018) and MiOS Rent-a-car & Limo Service (2019), as well as the company Fleet Management Team (FMT) which is involved in production. Within the group, the automotive division also includes Bavaria Team, Ada Motors, Trio Motors, and BM Centar za polovna vozila (Used Vehicle Center).[10]

After signing a strategic agreement with one of the largest and oldest Chinese automobile manufacturers, Changan Automobile, OMR Group - through its member Crossroad Asia—in July 2025 became the first business system from Serbia to obtain exclusive rights for the distribution of one of the leading Chinese automotive brands in the Western Balkans markets.[11][12]

Other Sectors

A significant step was taken in 2019 with the acquisition of Globos Insurance. Under Mijailović's leadership, the company recorded rapid growth and became a leader in the timeliness of claims settlement. The group is also present in nautical tourism through OMR Premium Yachting (representative for Azimut Benetti)[13] and in the real estate sector through the company Lux Invest. In 2025, OMR Group became the new owner of the business complex Sava Business Center in Belgrade, one of the most prestigious business centers in the country.[14]

Business Associations

Ostoja Mijailović, president of OMR Group, was elected as a new member of the Board of Directors of the Italian-Serbian Business Association at the General Assembly held on March 21, 2024.[15] Ostoja Mijailović has been a member of the British-Serbian Business Chamber for years and is currently also the vice president of this chamber, which aims to promote and facilitate trade between the United Kingdom and Serbia.[16]
