Otonti Amadi Nduka

Nduka was born on 9 May 1926 in present-day Rivers State, Nigeria. He pursued a career in education and became one of Nigeria's leading scholars in educational philosophy and policy.

Nduka taught for several decades and later became Professor of Education at the University of Port Harcourt, where he served as Dean of the Faculty of Education. His research centred on educational philosophy, teacher education, curriculum development and educational policy in Nigeria.

He became a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Education and later served as one of its Vice Presidents. Beyond academia, he has written extensively on the history and culture of the Ikwerre people, contributing significantly to the documentation of their heritage.^[3]

Nduka is married to Pamela Nduka, and they have five children. In 2018, the couple celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, an event marked by colleagues, former students and members of the Nigerian Academy of Education.^[4]
