Otothyropsis polyodon is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Loricariidae, the suckermouth armored catfishes, and the subfamily Hypoptopomatinae, the cascudinhos.[2] This catfish is endemic to Brazil where it is found in the tributaries of the Rio Verde in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.[1] This species reaches a standard length of 3.7 cm (1.5 in).[3]
