Oubliette (video game)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oubliette was a multiplayer[1] roleplaying game on the basis of the PLATO system released in 1977. It was designed by Jim Schwaiger, together with John Gaby and Bancherd DeLong. Players could choose from 15 ethnic groups and 15 classed based on ability scores. The game was built around cooperation and was a lot harder to play for solo adventurers.[2] The title is French for a secret dungeon only accessible through a trap door.[3] The game was inspired by Moria and is considered to have influenced the popular video game series Wizardry and Avatar.[4]
