Pakosław of Sandomierz

Pakosław of Sandomierz (Polish: Pakosław z Sandomierza or Pakosław Sandomierski) was a Polish nobleman who served as Voivode of Sandomierz in the first half of the 13th century, during the period of the feudal fragmentation of Poland. He is best known for his role in the defence of Lesser Poland during the First Mongol invasion of Poland and for commanding the Sandomierz contingent at the Battle of Chmielnik in 1241.[1][2]
