Paraguay at the FIFA World Cup

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition contested by the men's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the sport's global governing body. The championship has been awarded every four years since the first tournament in 1930, except in 1942 and 1946, due to World War II.

Paraguay have appeared in the finals of the World Cup on eight occasions, the first being at the very first finals in 1930, where they finished in the ninth position. Their last participation in the tournament was in 2010, when they reached the quarter-finals for the first time. They are set to make a ninth World Cup appearance at the upcoming 2026 tournament.
