Policy Positions and Public Commentary
Brenner has emphasized a data-driven approach to public policy, advocating limited government intervention, greater financial inclusion, and more government transparency.[3][10]
The institute has published policy analyses on consumer lending,[2] mortgage finance, and data privacy, and has engaged in litigation to enforce public-records laws in New Mexico.[10]
His work and that of SPPI have been cited in regional and national media, including The Wall Street Journal[1][11][12], The Washington Post[13][14][15][16], Fox News,[17] American Banker,[18] The Hill,[19] and others, through commentary and op-eds.
X-linked hypo-hidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (XLHED) advocacy
Brenner was born with the rare genetic condition X-linked hypo-hidrotic ectodermal dysplasia (XLHED). He sought to help and encourage others with XLHED through the National Foundation of Ectodermal Dysplasias.[20] In 2021, he partnered with University of Colorado Anschutz's School of Dental Medicine on a specialized corrective procedure and highlighted the work publicly for others with the condition.[21]
