Patrick Starrr

Patrick Simondac[1] (born November 11, 1989), known as Patrick Starrr, is an American make-up artist[2] and social media influencer. He has also been described as a musical and a business mogul.[3]

Early life

Starrr was raised in Orlando, Florida, the son of Filipino immigrants Arnulfo and Lenee Simondac.[4][5] He grew up Catholic.[6] Starrr started losing his hair at age 14 so he began wearing head-wraps and turbans.[7] He worked at a makeup store after high school.[6]

Career

Starrr launched a collection in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics in 2017,[8] and a clothing collection in 2021.[9] He co-founded One/Size, which is owned by Luxury Brand Partners.[10][11][12] The brand expanded to Southeast Asia in 2020.[13]

Starrr is the host of the interview podcast Say Yas to the Guest[14] and was a guest judge on the reality competition series Drag Race Philippines, the prize package for which includes a one-year supply of ONE/SIZE Beauty Cosmetics from Starrr.[15] Starrr has also created makeup tutorials featuring former Drag Race contestants.[16]

In September 2017, Starr won in the "Beauty" category at that year's Streamy Awards.[17] Two years later Starr won in the "Fashion" category at the 9th Streamy Awards.[18] In 2020, he partnered with Disney to release a makeup line.[19] In May 2023, he partnered with Jools Lebron on a beauty campaign.[20] On September 29, 2023, Starr was telecast judge of the 72nd Miss USA pageant held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.[citation needed]

Personal life

Starrr is gay and has supported LGBTQ businesses.[4][21] He lives in Los Angeles.[22] He had approximately 3.2 million followers on Instagram in 2017[23] and 4.6 million subscribers on YouTube in 2020.[24]
