Paula Zima (born 1953) is an American artist. She is known for her sculptures, and paintings,[1][2] and is celebrated for her artwork of animals.[3] Zima was born in Pasadena, California, and lived in Washington, the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast of California, before settling in New Mexico near Santa Fe.

Zima studied field biology at Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri in the early 1970s,[1] and she graduated in 1979 with a BA degree in graphic communication from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.[1][5][6] She also attended Los Llanos School of Arts and Crafts in Santa Fe, New Mexico,[6] and Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California.
