Paulina, Louisiana

Paulina first appeared as a census designated place in the 2010 U.S. census.^[9]

As of the 2020 census, Paulina had a population of 1,778.^[10] The median age was 36.0 years. 33.3% of residents were under the age of 18 and 9.4% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 100.0 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 93.5 males age 18 and over.^[11]

69.7% of residents lived in urban areas, while 30.3% lived in rural areas.^[12]

There were 576 households in Paulina, of which 42.4% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 66.8% were married-couple households, 15.3% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 14.9% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 19.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.^[11]

There were 648 housing units, of which 11.1% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 0.4% and the rental vacancy rate was 19.6%.^[11]
