Pavlovsky District (Russian: Па́вловский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ulyanovsk Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,017.6 square kilometers (392.9 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Pavlovka.[1] Population: 15,109 (2010 Census);[3] 16,539 (2002 census);[7] 17,453 (1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Pavlovka accounts for 37.2% of the district's total population.[3]
