Peel Pub
Restaurant in Quebec, Canada
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Peel Pub is a restaurant and performance venue on Peel Street in downtown Montreal, Quebec. Located across from Dorchester Square, it opened in 1962 and frequently visited by students, downtown workers, and Bell Centre attendees.
From 1962 to 2006, it was located on 1105-1107 Saint Catherine Street and the business was always named Peel Pub even at that address which was right at the corner of Peel Street.[1][2] It's only on May 21, 2006 that it moved to 1196 Peel Street.[3] A late night fire caused $100,000 worth of damage to the location on February 13, 2010.[4]
The pub closed unexpectedly in June 2025.[5][6] The pub is scheduled to reopen by the St-Patrick's Day of 2026 under new ownership.[7]
