Pelophryne penrissenensis, also known as Penrissen dwarf toad,[3] is a species of toad in the family Bufonidae.[1][3][4][5] It is endemic to Borneo and only known from Mount Penrissen in Sarawak (East Malaysia),[1][4] its type locality that also gave this species its specific name.[2] Its actual range might be wider and extend into nearby Kalimantan (Indonesia).[1] It is the sister taxon of Pelophryne signata.[2]
