Pertti Torstila

Pertti Juhani Torstila (born 13 February 1946 in Jyväskylän maalaiskunta)[1] has had a long career in the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland made by an official and a diplomat. Prior to his retirement, he served as State Secretary for Foreign Affairs in 2006-2014.
In June 2014, Torstila was elected Chairman of the Finnish Red Cross.[2]
In May 2015, Torstila was promoted to the post of Honorary Doctor of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Budapest (Eötvös Lorand).[3]
Pertti Torstila was elected in November 2015 as a "Social Science Fellow".[4]
