Peter Rowell (British Army officer)

Major General Peter John Rowell MBE is a British Army officer who currently serves as commandant of the Defence Academy.

Military career
Rowell was commissioned into the Royal Engineers on 3 May 1995.[1] He was deployed to Afghanistan as chief of staff for 4th Mechanised Brigade before being promoted to brigadier and becoming commandant of the Royal School of Military Engineering in 2019.[2] He went on to be Head of Concepts and Force Exploration in 2022 and commandant of the Defence Academy in May 2024.[3]
