Phillip Stollman (c. 1906 – May 4, 1998)[1] was a Soviet-born American real estate developer, Zionist, and philanthropist who co-founded the Biltmore Development Company.
Stollman was born to an Orthodox Jewish family in the Soviet Union, one of six sons of Louis Stollman.[2] His family immigrated to the USA in the 1920s, settling in Detroit, where his father established a construction company called Stollman Building which was successful until the Great Depression.[2] In 1941, Philip and his brother Max started their own construction company in Detroit called Biltmore Building Company.[2][3]
