Pityrogramma calomelanos,[2][3] commonly known as the silver fern,[4] is a rhizomatous geophyte or lithophyte native to Mexico and Tropical America.[5][6][7] It grows mainly in subtropical regions and has been introduced widely across Asia, Africa, and Pacific islands.[8]
