Pixna

Pixna^[3] (Pixina, Pishna; پىشنا يېزىسى / 皮西那乡) is a town in Pishan/Guma County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, China.^[4]

History

Before the Communist takeover, the area was organized as Pixna District (Pixinai; 皮西乃區).^[2]

In 1958, Pixna Commune (皮西那公社) was established.^[2]

In 1984, Pixna Township was established.^[2]

1997年皮山县行政区划 [1997 Guma County Administrative Divisions]. XZQH.org. 6 January 2011. Retrieved 3 April 2020. 皮西那乡　原属固玛三十六庄之一，隶属叶城县。清光绪二十八年（1902）划归皮山县。解放前为皮西乃区。1956年撤销区行政建置。1958年成立皮西那公社年。1984设皮西那乡。位于县城西南30千米。面积805平方千米，人口0.6万，均系维吾尔族，距315国道12千米。辖皮西那、加依托格拉克、吾喀什、布拉克贝希、央塔克阿其麻、巴什阿孜干、阿亚格阿孜干8个行政村。

A 6.5-magnitude earthquake rocked Pishan County of Hotan Prefecture at 9:07 a.m. (0107GMT), with the epicenter recorded at 37.6 degrees north and 78.2 degrees east, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). Three people were killed and 71 others injured in the quake. Local government has erected 1,500 tents to accommodate residents affected by the earthquake.
