Podgorensky District

District in Voronezh Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Podgorensky District (Russian: Подго́ренский райо́н) is an administrative^[1] and municipal^[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwestern central part of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,579 square kilometers (610 sq mi).^{[citation needed]} Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Podgorensky.^[1] Population: 23,123 (2021 census);^[6] 27,340 (2010 census);^[2] 29,563 (2002 census);^[7] 31,827 (1989 Soviet census).^[8] The population of the administrative center accounts for 24.8% of the district's total population.^[6]
