Production
On August 31, 2026, it was announced that a new Pokémon anime film was in production at CloverWorks, marking the first Pokemon anime film not produced by OLM, Inc., the production company behind all the previous films.[5] Scheduled for release in 2027, the film was announced with a 39-second teaser shown during the closing ceremony of the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.[4][6] It is the first film to specifically focus on the TCG, and the first not to star Ash Ketchum, the original protagonist of the Pokemon anime series.
