Polasara is located at 19.7°N 84.82°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 66 metres (216 feet).

As of 2011[update] India census,[2] Polasara had a population of 23,119 of which 11,876 are males while 11,243 are females. the female sex ratio is 947 against state average of 979.
