Pontibacter mucosus is a halotolerant, Gram-negative and rod-shaped bacterium from the genus Pontibacter which has been isolated from hexachlorocyclohexane-contaminated pond sediments from Chinhat in Lucknow in India.[1][3][2][4][5]
