Porky and Gabby is a 1937 Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoon short directed by Ub Iwerks, the co-creator of Mickey Mouse.[2][1] The short was released on May 15, 1937, and stars Porky Pig along with the first appearance of Gabby Goat.[3]

The cartoon was the first of four cartoons for which animation production was subcontracted by Leon Schlesinger to Ub Iwerks' Animated Pictures Corp. studio.[1] When production fell behind, Robert Clampett, Chuck Jones, and Robert Cannon temporarily joined the Iwerks staff to help with the animation.[1]
