Portland Metro Chamber is the chamber of commerce for the Portland metropolitan area anchored by Portland, Oregon. The organization was established as the Portland Trade Board in 1870, and was later known as the Portland Metropolitan Chamber, and the Portland Business Alliance.

History
The organization was founded as the Portland Trade Board (also referred to as the Portland Board of Trade)[7]: 501 in 1870.[8] It was founded in part by William Reid, a very wealthy investor born in Glasgow, Scotland.[7]: 54 On April 7, 1890, the organization was merged into the Portland Chamber of Commerce,[9] which had been recently incorporated.[7]: 85
The organization would later be called the Portland Metropolitan Chamber from 1984 to 2001, and the Portland Business Alliance from 2001 to 2023, afterwards changing its name to the Portland Metro Chamber.[8][10][11]
