Povorinsky District

District in Voronezh Oblast, Russia From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Povorinsky District (Russian: Пово́ринский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,066 square kilometers (412 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Povorino.[1] Population: 31,119(2021 census);[6] 34,030(2010 census);[3] 17,475(2002 census);[7] 18,325(1989 Soviet census).[8] The population of Povorino accounts for 52.8% of the district's total population.[6]
