The municipality lies at an altitude of 300 metres (980 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 15.00 km² (5.79 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 676 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 679 people by ethnicity 662 as Slovak, 26 as Romani, 12 as Not found out, 2 as Czech, 2 as English, 1 as Turkish, 1 as Rusyn, 1 as Polish and 1 as Hungarian.
