Priscillah Mabelane is a South African chartered accountant. She is known to be the first woman in the history of South Africa’s oil industry to head a multi-national company. In August 2017, she was appointed the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of BP Southern Africa (BPSA), making her the first female to hold such a position.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7] She is currently the Executive Vice President: Energy Business of Sasol, since 1 September 2020.[8]
She grew up in Mabocha, near Burgersfort in Limpopo.[9] She had her tertiary education at the University of the North, now the University of Limpopo and the University of KwaZulu Natal.[2] She is a qualified chartered accountant with Bcom Honours in accounting.[10]
