Pristiapogon taeniopterus

The species that I am writing about is the Pristiapogon taeniopterus also called the bandfin cardinal fish which is from the animalia kingdom and its class is Actinopterygii, the order its in is Gobiiformes, its species is Apogonidae and its genus is  Pristiapogo.  "WoRMS - World Register of Marine Species - Pristiapogon taeniopterus (Bennett, 1836)".  They can grow to 5-7 inches or 12-17cm and the depth they are usually in can be 15-100 ft. They live in reefs and or rocky coralline areas but they normally come out at night and they can be found in tropical islands including Hawaii. They like to feed on crustaceans and zooplankton and small shrimp that they find on the ground because they only consume small things.. When it comes to human usage, they are not really used for food because they are normally too small but they are used in aquariums.
