Professor Ojo is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics His main enemies are Green Arrow, Green Lantern and Richard Dragon, and Batman. Ojo is the Spanish word for "eye".
Professor Ojo first appeared in Richard Dragon, Kung Fu Fighter #16 (August 1977) and was created by Ric Estrada and Dennis O'Neil.
Fictional character biography
The son of an assistant in an early atomic energy facility, whose poor safety standards exposed workers to massive doses of radiation, Ojo is born without eyes. He creates a device allowing him to see and eventually becomes an associate of the League of Assassins.[1][2] Loathing atomic energy, Ojo steals an experimental atomic submarine, bringing him into conflict with Richard Dragon and Benjamin Turner. Although Dragon and Turner help recover the stolen submarine, Turner stays behind to confront Ojo, who previously killed his lover. Ojo captures and brainwashes Turner, turning him into the assassin known as the Bronze Tiger.[3]
Ojo later places a hovering eye over Star City, the home of Green Arrow. Assuming the eye to be a threat, Green Arrow and Hal Jordan attempt to disarm it, but to no effect. Later, Green Arrow and Green Lantern Guy Gardner succeed in destroying the eye.[1][2][4]
Another eye attacks Jordan and Green Arrow in Arkham Asylum.[5] Ojo and the Crumbler attempt to destroy an atomic power plant, showcasing the devastating effect of radiation. Even though Ojo upgrades the Crumbler's power, both villains are defeated by Green Lantern and Green Arrow.[6]

The son of workers who worked with atomic energy, Ojo was born without any eyes. Fortunately for him, he was extremely intelligent and was able to create a device that allowed him to see. Too bad he chose a life crime that eventually saw him joining the League of Assassins and even working under Ra's Al Ghul. While in Star City, he created a giant floating eyeball to distract the heroes from the plan to destroy an atomic power plant and show everyone the danger of radiation. He also made a few appearances in Young Justice, and was the inmate who tried to convince everyone that Superboy was in Belle Reve undercover.

Professor Ojo's parents worked in an atomic testing facility, and as a result of the exposure to radiation, Professor Ojo was born without eyes. With great intellect, he managed to build himself a contraption that allowed him to see. Unfortunately for Professor Ojo, his contraption was a helmet with a large eye on top, and while it no doubt was a great advancement in technology, it just looked really strange. He also uses big hovering eyes for spying purposes, but was ultimately defeated by Green Lantern and Green Arrow.
