Psammotermitidae are a family of termites consisting of the regrouped subfamilies Psammotermitinae and Prorhinotermitinae, which were formerly nested within Rhinotermitidae.[1][2] The subfamilies are monogeneric and represented by their respective genera, Psammotermes and Prorhinotermes.[1]
