Pulapre Balakrishnan (Malayalam: പുലപ്രെ ബാലകൃഷ്ണൻ) is an Indian economist and educationalist. He has served as the director of Centre for Development Studies[1] and Professor at Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.
Pulapre Balakrishnan was born in his ancestral village of Klari, Malappuram, Kerala on 4 April 1955. He was educated in schools of Moscow and completed his B.A from University of Madras and his M.A from Jawaharlal Nehru University, his Master of Philosophy from Oxford University and his PhD from Cambridge University.[2]
