Qudus Fakoya Oluwadamilarelisten, also known as Qdot, is a Nigerian musician and a songwriter.[1][2] He is known for his songs "Gbese", "Alomo meta" and "Emilokan".[3] He is the CEO of Yoruba Boi Music record label and the winner of the 2019 Best Indigenous Artiste Award.[3][4][5]

Early life and education

Qdot is the first born of his father. He obtained his SSCE certificate from United Secondary School and obtained his post secondary school certificate from Yaba College of Technology where he studied General Arts.[6]

Career

Qdot began his musical career when he was in elementary school.[4] He broke into limelight in 2013 with his songs "Alomo meta" and "Ibadan" where he featured another popular musician Olamide.[7][8] Qdot majorly sings in Yoruba language.[9]

Personal Life

Despite his fame, Qdot keeps his personal life private. He is currently single and focuses mainly on his music and business ventures. Known for being family-oriented, he has publicly shown care and respect for his parents and cultural heritage. On September 28 2025, Qdot was robbed in his own apartment in Lagos State of Nigeria and that led to the release of his latest track, "28 of SEPT”. [10]

September 28 by Qdot is a Nigerian storytelling song that recounts a traumatic robbery and near-death experience on September 28, the lyrics vividly describe fear, violence, and survival, while questioning security failures and the fragility of human life.[11]
