Quiet Please is a lost 1938 British comedy film directed by R. William Neill and starring Reginald Purdell, Wally Patch and Lesley Brook.[2] It was written by Purdell and Anthony Hankey, and produced by Warner Brothers-First National.[2]
The British Film Institute has classed Quiet Please as a lost film.[3] Its National Archive holds a collection of ephemera and stills but no film or video materials.[2]
Plot
Algernon Beresford is a theatre queue entertainer who is persuaded by a villain, Holloway, to pose as a wealthy resident of a rest home, telling him that it is cover for an "investigation". It turns out to be a jewel robbery. When Beresford realises, he and his busker friend Big Bill set out to recover the stolen goods and bring Holloway to justice.[1]
