Rachel Brown (musician)

Brown is from Chicago, and resides in New York City.^[1] They are of Chinese American and Irish Catholic ancestry.^[2] They began recording as Thanks for Coming (stylized in all lowercase) in 2015, while still attending high school in Chicago.^[3][4]

Brown graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television from New York University.^[2]

Brown is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.^[5][6]

Brown was in a relationship with musician MJ Lenderman starting in 2024.^[7][8] The two broke up in November 2025.
