Ragıp Eşref Filiz

Filiz is the youngest son of Mehmet and Gülbiye Filiz, both educators. In 2001, he completed an undergraduate degree program in the International Relations department of Karadeniz Technical University.^[2]‹The template Self-published source is being considered for merging.›  ^{[self-published source]} He earned a master's degree in International Relations at Istanbul Medeniyet University.

Filiz has worked as a voice actor, television announcer, translator and flight attendant. Filiz was the chief editor for the news site sanalgaste.com.tr in Turkey from 2015 to 2018.^[3][4]

'Raul Mendez Ölmeli' ( 'Raul Mendez Should Die' ), was the first Turkish novel by Filiz. It was published in 2013 by Sokak Kitaplari Yayinlari and was one of the first works to include the Gezi Park protests and the issue of freedom of expression in Turkey. Filiz is one of the youngest representatives of Post-Modern Novelism in Turkey.^[5][6]
