Rama Chandra Murmu is an Indian Santali writer and literary figure known for his contributions to Santali literature. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006 for his Santali biography Guru Gomke Pondet Raghunath Murmu.

Career
Rama Chandra Murmu is associated with the development and promotion of Santali literature and culture. His writings focus on Santali history, culture and prominent personalities of the Santali community.
He is particularly known for his work documenting the life and contribution of Raghunath Murmu, the inventor of the Ol Chiki script, which is used to write the Santali language.[1]
Sahitya Akademi Award
Murmu received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2006 in the Santali language category for his book Guru Gomke Pondet Raghunath Murmu, a biography of Raghunath Murmu. The award is presented annually by the Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters, to recognise outstanding literary works in the recognised languages of India.[2]
