René van Rijswijk (born 3 January 1971) is a Dutch former footballer who played as a forward for RKC, Cambuur and NEC.[1][2]

He was known for his distinctive appearance, notably his long hair worn in a ponytail, and for his unusually low goalscoring output for a striker, which earned him the nickname De spits zonder doelpunten ("the striker without goals").[3][4] He was also known for his relatively low goalscoring output, which earned him the nickname "De spits zonder doelpunten" ("The striker without goals").[5]
