Richard Stanley Stolarski (November 22, 1941 – February 22, 2024) was an American atmospheric scientist. He played a critical role in the discovery of the ozone hole.

Stolarski was originally from Tacoma, Washington, the son of Stanley and Rose Stolarski.[2] He obtained his bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from the University of Puget Sound in 1963 and his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Florida in 1966.
