Paul Scott Jordan (born May 26, 1965) is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1988 to 1996 for the Philadelphia Phillies and Seattle Mariners.[1] He was noted for being a very good pinch hitter.
Jordan was born in Richmond, California.[2] He was adopted when he was a few days old.[3] Jordan's adoptive father died when he was five, and one of his youth sports coaches became very influential in his upbringing.[citation needed] He attended Grant Union High School in Sacramento, California.[2]
