Rio Madeirinha Ecological Station (Portuguese: Estação Ecológica do Rio Madeirinha) is an ecological station (ESEC) in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
The Rio Madeirinha Ecological Station has an area of about 13,682.96 hectares (33,811.3 acres) in the municipality of Colniza[a], Mato Grosso. It is in the north west of the state, and is bordered on the east, north and west by the Tucumã State Park. The Madeirinha River, which runs in the roughly north east direction, defines the border with the west part of the state park.[1]
The ESEC is in the Amazon biome.[2] The predominant vegetation is open tropical rainforest, with trees over 25 metres (82 ft) high.[3] It is a natural refuge for wildlife. The dissected relief forms a variety of habitats for diverse fauna and flora.[1]
