Rolland Courbis (French pronunciation: [rɔlɑ̃ kuʁbis]; 12 August 1953 – 12 January 2026) was a French football manager and professional player who played as a defender.
Born in Marseille, Courbis played for Marseille, Ajaccio, Olympiacos,[1] Sochaux, Monaco and Toulon.[2]
Courbis coached Toulon, US Marseille Endoume, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Marseille,[3] Lens, Ajaccio, Al-Wahda, Russian Alania Vladikavkaz, Montpellier HSC,[4][5] Niger and Sion.[6]
He later worked as a sport radio talk host with RMC, his daily show was called "Coach Courbis".
Death
Courbis died on 12 January 2026, at the age of 72.[7]
