Rollei Prego

Most of the point-and-shoot film and digital cameras marketed by Rollei starting in the early 1990s are branded Rollei Prego, after the Rollei brand had been acquired by Samsung Techwin. In addition, point-and-shoot cameras from Rollei were sold with other branding, including Rollei Giro (Advanced Photo System film cartridges). The cameras generally were rebadged from models manufactured by other makers, including Ricoh, Samsung and Fujifilm.

The attentive might have noticed a certain familiarity in the Prego 90's specs and features, and indeed, it's essentially the Samsung Maxima Zoom 90i in different dress. ... The Rollei/Samsung people insist that the Prego 90 is no more rebadge in German packaging, however. Manufacturing is done under the active supervision of a Rollei representative, they say, and all units are transshipped to Germany where they undergo individual inspection—including final alignment of the lens—plus full testing of random samples to ensure that lens quality and operation are up to Rollei's specs.
