Romanovsky District, Saratov Oblast

Romanovsky District (Russian: Романовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the thirty-eight in Saratov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast.

Area

The area of the district is 1,300 square kilometers (500 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Romanovka.[2]

Demographics

Population: 16,226 (2010 Census);[3] 18,150(2002 census);[8] 19,404(1989 Soviet census).[9] The population of Romanovka accounts for 44.8% of the district's total population.[3]
